The
Concept
What
Are LifeDreams?
The
LifeDream concept is based on the premise that the material world in which
we operate is, in fact, created by an energy projection of consciousness,
itself...and therefore is amenable, within the framework of certain laws,
to re-creation by that consciousness.
Further, the concept pre-supposes that each individual IS a portion of
that conscious creative energy and, therefore, has access, through its
own power of willful choice, to the
self-creation of alternate realities. This concept was developed
over the years through the observation of my own life experiences. If
it is a valid theory, then I think anyone can see that the possibilities
and opportunities to each of our lives and to the human race as a whole
are essentially boundless. This knowledge, if put into practice and worked
with as we would plant and cultivate a garden, has the capability to banish
fear, anger, doubt, mistrust, pain and need for all time. But like all
opportunity for advancement, new knowledge brings new responsibility for
what we do with that knowledge.
There
are those who will find the concept preposterous at the outset, just as
there are those who will immediately sense the "correctness" of it. And
there are many who will find themselves somewhere in between these extremes.
My only desire is that each person who meets up with this information
will weigh it with their reasoning ability and, if they feel attracted
to the possibilities inherent in the concept, try putting into practice
what is described.
It is only through what we do about what we know that makes any difference
in life. Knowledge unused is not knowledge...it's theory. Only our experiences
can be "known"....for certain. Consequently, someone cannot give us knowledge.
All knowledge must be earned to be learned....through personal application.
Knowledge can be "felt" but if it is not acted upon and tested with reason
and experience we will never know for sure whether the feeling was based
on false premises or on an accurate assessment of universal laws of action/reaction.
Blind "faith" in a false premise bears with it the "fruit" of that falsity.
The Development of the LifeDream Concept
I'm not sure when the thought first occurred to me as a possibility of
the way things really work but it was probably in the 1970's. And
over the years, as my experiences in life accumulated, I began to notice
seeing certain patterns of external events occurring and re-occurring
in my life. By "events", I mean not the mental perception of events but
real physical occurrences which seemed to be identical in nature but widely
scattered in time, circumstance and environment.
So, with the record keeping of my dreams and my chronological experience
journal, I was eventually led to the conclusion that something "scientific"
or "real" was going on here. "Something" kept creating the same or a very
similar "result" under widely varying circumstances which seemed to have
an external relationship to each other. I am talking about real things
such as roof leaks, for example. I intend to eventually overwhelm
you with examples of informational data related to these repeat processes
in future writings, so if you are of a mind to instantly dismiss the possibility
of this concept being valid, I would suggest that you suspend your judgement
long enough to do two things. First, look at my data with an open mind,
and second, begin to recall and reassess your own life events looking
for patterns which seemed to repeat themselves. I think you will
find them, as I did.
Here is the main clue which will help you isolate them. These patterns
will be found in the actual recurring events, themselves, and these events
will be found to have been accompanied by certain mental and emotional
states. The younger in age you are, of course, the more difficult will
be the task since you might not have had enough experiential time to go
through enough cycles for the pattern to be evident. But keep with it
over time and I feel sure that you will be able to see the larger cycles
with no problem. The smaller cycles can be glimpsed on shorter time scales
but might be less emotional laden and therefore harder to spot.
In my case, the events which I noticed reoccurring, were mostly of the
type which were either traumatic or in some other way painful. The phenomena
of noticing these types of events rather than the "good" things seems
to be related to the same reason that we notice the "horrible" things
on the news. Painful or fear-raising events have a way of not letting
you ignore them. We should take heart in the fact, though, that their
function, like any feeling of dis-ease, is essentially a corrective one.
When you touch a hot stove four times and each time it raises a blister,
you eventually learn not to touch a "hot" stove.
But, unfortunately, problems can arise when we assume that all stoves
are hot. This type of false programming is the result of our overreaction
to pain and it usually results in "non-action" in our development, related
to anything of a "like" kind, and eventually stagnation and the development
of a delusionary truth. In other words, our fear programming, glues us
to our current state of awareness, which in all liklihood...at any one
time...is incomplete and innaccurate.
